Opening My Eyes to Social Media: A Cheeky Adventure

Nomadspalette

Hey, lovely people! It’s Meg here, back with another update from the wild and wonderful world of Nomad’s Palette. This time, I’m diving into the mysterious (to me) realm of social media, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the ride.

The Chief Editor: My Daughter

First things first, let’s talk about my chief editor: my 15-year-old daughter. She’s the one who’s been dragging me, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century of social media. Bless her heart, she’s incredibly articulate and knows exactly what she likes. However, our styles, Our styles? Let's call them "complementarily clashing."

The Great Instagram Mystery

Oh, and Stories? Yeah, I had no idea what those were. Spoiler alert: they’re not just bedtime tales. But we’ve gotten past the first hurdle, and I'm slowly learning to tame this beast called Instagram.

Pleasing You or Pleasing Me?

One thing I’m still figuring out is whether I should be posting to please you or just to please myself. Maybe a bit of both? Either way, it’s a peek into my world. As unexciting as it may seem to you, it’s the start of my new life. So, bear with me as I muddle through and try to share something worthwhile.

A Metaphor for New Beginnings

In other news, I’ve planted a garden! Yep, I’m growing herbs and veggies, and it feels like the perfect metaphor for new beginnings. Watching these tiny seeds grow into something beautiful and useful is strangely satisfying. Plus, it’s another adventure to share with you all.

Thank You, Daughter

A massive thank you to my daughter for being so patient with me. This whole experience feels like a little test for when I get dementia (fingers crossed that’s a little way off, but with my family history, who knows). So, here’s to learning, growing, and embracing the new—no matter how challenging it may be. Little shout out to my mama here who is embracing the new with my papa and handling it like the hero she is. Love you ma.

Stay Tuned

Stay tuned for more updates, laughs, and possibly a few tears. Bear with me as I navigate this social media journey. It's a learning curve, but one I'm excited to tackle. Thanks for being here, and here's to new beginnings!

Catch you later,

Meg
